From Lima to Machu Picchu, you’ll be immersed in the land and culture of Peru. Connect with local communities in the Sacred Valley and learn how they preserve history, art and their heritage. There, you’ll focus on the archaeological remains of the Inca Empire and their lasting cultural influences. While taking in the breathtaking sights from atop the mighty Andes, you’ll also spend two days working in a local community on projects that support economic sustainability, local agriculture and access to education.

Day 1: Fly to Peru

Since projects and your service partner are determined closer to your actual tour date, here’s a glimpse at what your first day might look like:

  • Meet EF’s partner organization and learn how its mission is working to support the local community
  • Learn about your specific project during orientation before getting to work


Day 6: Sacred Valley • Service Project

Depending on your service partner, here’s a glimpse at what your service learning day might look like:

  • Assist in building construction, such as digging foundations or making bricks
  • Help with building and grounds maintenance, such as repairing infrastructure or painting
  • Enhance the schoolyard or community space with garden work or structural projects

Enjoy sports, a cultural activity, or time to reflect as a group

Day 7: Sacred Valley • Pisac • Cuzco

Travel via Pisac to Cuzco
