What you’ll do

8 days in San José, Alajuela region, Arenal region, Sarapiquí region

OVERVIEW
Costa Rica offers middle-schoolers the perfect blend of adventure, culture, and ecology—and this tour is specifically designed to engage this age group. In Alajuela, they learn about rescued wildlife and sample homegrown coffee before heading to Sarchí to meet local artisans. Around Arenal, they explore waterfalls, hot springs, and volcanic landscapes, and in the Sarapiquí rainforest they raft down lively rivers, zipline through the canopy, and taste chocolate made from locally grown cocoa. Along the way, students experience sustainable farming, local dance, and the country's incredible biodiversity, returning home with a deeper curiosity for the natural world and those who protect it.
