OVERVIEW
Students trace a country’s remarkable transformation across cities, centuries, and ideas. In Munich, they explore historic landmarks like Marienplatz, the Residenz, and the Hofbräuhaus before pausing for reflection and remembrance at the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site. Students also visit the BMW Museum to examine how design and technology intersect in modern Germany, then step back in time at Linderhof Palace. The journey continues through Mödlareuth, once divided by the Iron Curtain, and ends in Berlin, where landmarks like the Berlin Wall and Checkpoint Charlie bring 20th-century history to life. Along the way, students discover how division, memory, and reconciliation have helped rebuild Germany and place it at the forefront of global innovation.
